Ted Harvey Wildlife Area, Kent County, Delaware
A few last frost shots before most of it melted, and a path. Faced with the adventure the path in the photos hinted at, the following went through my mind:
- I am wearing my unlucky sky blue Merrell trail running shoes, which are extensively vented on the sides
- The tide is coming in. How far in, I don’t know, because I neglected to check the tidal charts before embarking.
- I have a breakfast date at 9am with people who would never let me live it down if I showed up soaked from the knees down.
- Why did I leave my boots in the truck?
Ah well, next time I’ll go all the way, in boots.
And yes, i always keep a tripod and a pair of boots in my truck.
