This was Whistler, who does not hunt, at least not on command. His owner, Ash, uses him in a show at the Pennsylvania Rennaissance Faire.

Falconry – Red Tailed Hawk 2/2

More photos from the Falconry Class offered by TerraMar Adventures – this is the falconer’s apprentice and his red-tailed hawk. I’m terrible with names so I didn’t retain either of their names! The second part of the class was a hunting expedition, and we went out traipsing through the fields with the hawk. We weren’t having much luck, so at one point, we all lined up and set off across the field to try to flush some prey out, but still nothing.
