The beach at Ocean City, New Jersey

As my friends and husband sat snug in the penthouse, occasionally peering at me, I went for a walk down on the beach despite the continuing single digit temperatures and wind chills. Go figure, I had the beach mostly to myself.

The seagull who’s obviously vocalizing in the 3rd and 4th photos is making the same noise as what they play in the annoying audio on the Cape May – Lewes Ferry site (I always mute my computer when I visit it). The smaller bird in the last few shots is some sort of plover – my non resident bird expert says probaby a snowy plover.

  1. Or maybe an icy plover.
