“Coin Beach”, Indian River Inlet, Delaware

After stopping by the DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum for some inspiration, we went out treasure hunting on the beach. We didn’t have any particular destination in mind when we first left the house, but as we were driving down into Sussex County, the Mr was telling me about a “Coin Beach” he’d heard of from his cousin, whose metal detector isn’t good for beach detecting. I unleashed the power of Twitter to find out more, and @ottokin (whose new photoblog is in my photoblogroll), @del_editor, and @levelhead9 told me where to find it.

Since upgrading to pro on flickr, I’ve been playing around with their editing tool a little, and I did fiddle around with the last two shots in this entry because one was overexposed and one was underexposed. I liked them both, but especially side by side, they looked ridiculous.
