Ted Harvey Wildlife Area, Kent County, Delaware

The annual spring feast – shorebirds and horseshoe crab eggs. And the creepy mist that started rolling in from Bowers Beach shortly after I pulled up my piece of driftwood and settled in for a nice sit. I waited about 20 minutes, but it was just me and the mist, which didn’t seem to be going anywhere. A few minutes after I took this last photo, I could barely even see the birds 50 yards in front of me, let alone the horizon or either of the neighboring towns.
