Trap Pond – At the Campsite

Trap Pond State Park, Laurel, Delaware

We reserved the two island campsites for the weekend. I took the kayaks down, and other people used them but not me. Haven’t been back in one since the accident.

If you’re ever looking for a cheap Delaware getaway, I highly recommend the island sites at TPSP – there are two of them, and you’ll want to get both, because that leaves you pretty much isolated from the rest of the campsites. The bathroom and bathhouse are both within easy walking distance, as is a water pump, but there’s no reason for anyone else to be in or near your campsite since there’s nothing else out there, and the privacy is nice. You can also fish and boat straight from the site!
