Trap Pond State Park, Laurel, Delaware
We saw these little guys throughout the weekend, but the most amazing sight was when I took a little side trail and the entire earth erupted in front of me. There were hundreds of them, all headed toward the water – I assume they’d been sunning themselves on the rarely-used trail before I disturbed them.
The photos of my husband’s hand are blurry and poorly focused because he doesn’t follow directions very well. All I wanted for him to do was get at least 6 ft away (I had my zoom lens on) and stay still, and he would do neither. ;)

I live the pictures, especially the toad on your fingers. You should totally submit those pics to http://www.flickr.com/groups/tiny_animals_on_fingers/
I love tiny animals on fingers!
