Ted Harvey Wildlife Area to Pickering Beach, and back again

I’ve been in the mood for beach hiking lately, in case you haven’t noticed. This is a lovely time of year for it along the Delaware Bay beaches in Kent County. It’s about 7 miles from the North Boat Ramp parking lot at Ted Harvey to Pickering Beach (along the beach) and back.

The shells in #3 and #4 came from the wrack along the beach in the foreground of #5.

  2. Yep, I’ve seen more big buhumbajumba jellyfish on the bay shore this past few weeks than the rest of my life combined. An average of 2-3 per mile, sometimes more.
