I wish I knew what it looked like when it was new – the colors seem positively garish now. No one seems to know much about it. The folks over at DNERR tell me that every few years someone makes some noise about restoring it, but of course that’d cost a fortune. No one ever seems to even get to the point where they’re willing to secure and stabilize it, let alone restore it.
Isn’t amazing that “decay” has such a negative connotation, but you have made it so beautiful. Love this!
