Bowers Beach, Delaware

North Bowers sunrise – 25 degrees outside. The sky was basically one big cloud, but there was a thin spot across the horizon where the sun was glowing through. I parked over by the headboat docks since the public access beach parking lot still had 2-3 ft of snow on it. The plowed areas were mostly solid sheets of ice where the snow had melted and refrozen. It was a very ginger tiptoe across that with my precious camera!

Kent County, Delaware

There was still a State of Emergency + driving ban in Kent County today, so I went for a 3.6 mile walk. :) We’ve had two blizzards in the past week with no significant melting in between (or after the 8″ of snow we got just before the first blizzard) so there is lots of white stuff laying around. It’s tough to tell with all the drifting, but I’m guessing we’ve got between 3 and 3.5 feet of accumulation. Some of the drifts are over my head.
