Bad Wheel Jonny and the Broke Spokes, Digital Street Studios, Dover, Delaware

So apparently there’s a place called Digital Street Studio, right up the road in Dover, where they do a show called A Night To Be Heard that broadcasts live on Original Works Radio. I got an invite to go see Bad Wheel Jonny and the Broke Spokes (featuring songwriter Jon Guessford on guitar and vocals, Melissa Lim on vocals and shakey egg, Craig Koska on tenor guitar, Dave Kotulas on lead accoustic guitar, John Kidd on harmonicas and jaw harp, Sandy Shalk on bass, and Rick Schuman on percussion) do a show there, and I had a night off, so off I went. Insert the usual grumbles about non photo-friendly lighting here, but the show was *amazing*. I expect you’ll probably be seeing more of them here, especially if I can catch up to them playing outdoors, where the lighting is better. They’re working on a CD right now, and I’ll probably post info about that here when it’s available, because I intend to have one, and if they sound anywhere near as awesome on a CD as they do live, you should probably have one too.

I’ve only posted a few photos here on the photoblog, but everything I didn’t delete outright is on Flickr. Unfortunately, it was a pretty tight space, and I didn’t want to be disruptive, so I got quite a few of some of them and barely any of others.

Dover, Delaware

I pulled into the Target entrance to go buy breakfast supplies for my Valentine, and there were birds EVERYWHERE – there was a whole row of trees that looked just like the one in the first photo. The trees with the most birds were bare, but there were others nearby that were full of berries.
