Blackbird Creek Reserve, Delaware
Lovely autumn day at the reserve. I dragged myself out of bed at 9am for a 10am Habitat Hike, only to discover that it was a 9am Habitat Hike (as I had clearly marked on my calendar). So I went for a hike on my own while I waited for them to get back. :)

I actually drove up here to see if I could find a turtle’s nest someone told me about the day before, but there was no sign of it – I think the tide was too high to go far enough. I jumped the first creek, pictured above, but the 2nd was a pretty major wade, and it was starting to rain.
