More Dike Trail photos, mostly from on the walk back (it deadends at a viewing platform in the marsh).

I meant to go straight home this morning, really, I did. I didn’t get enough sleep yesterday because I went to the beach, so I figured I’d make up for it. Then I saw the sky…

I ended up spending the better part of 2 1/2 hours or so wandering around Prime Hook, starting with these shots from the Dike Trail.

Oh, and that tattered fella in the second photo? He kept me country for the whole 2 1/2 hours, rarely out of sight when I wasn’t under tree cover. I do believe he may have been following me!

It was cold cold cold, and I had no gloves, so I didn’t stay long. This is the fishing pier and the completely frozen pond, as well as some of the cool ice crystals that were all over the wood (those photos didn’t come out as well as I’d hoped they would) and some of the wintery plants that were around.
