So at some point during my walk, it occurred to me that it was probably faster to go all the way around instead of turning back around. As it happens, at that point it still would have been considerably shorter to turn back, but I didn’t have a map and I’m not nearly as familiar with this park as I am with Killens Pond. This is the home stretch, after cutting back away from Wooten Road and heading back toward where I parked. There were lots of fungi growing everywhere.

The non-fungi photo is of Cypress Point.

The first three shots are from between the Island Trail and where the trail comes out and goes across the bridge on Wooten Road, and the second three are from the section of the trail between Wooten Road and the Cypress Point cutoff. There were lots of crazy funguses everywhere, thanks to all the rain lately.

The beginning of the Boundary Trail, and a detour down the Island Trail. Lots of cypresses everywhere. Still intending to go for just a short walk and then turn around.
